minus-square_sideffect@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up17arrow-down9·4 days agoI agree to a limit. If I’m just posting stupid yt videos to someone then who cares. But if I’m talking to someone and they don’t answer for 4 days(I give 1 day or so, personally), I’m not bothering with that person again. Texting is a form of communication, just like email is. You can say it’s a “convenience” all you want, but so is the telephone then. Why don’t you just walk to the person’s house and speak to them?

minus-squareCaptSpify@lemmy.todaylinkfedilinkarrow-up2·4 days agoAgreed. I dont get why people get upset by these things (assuming its not a time-sensitive discussion, of course) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asynchronous_communication
