I loved the idea of that podcast but I just couldn’t stomach it. One of the hosts is constantly shouting. It’s like he doesn’t understand how microphones work, and instead thinks he has to shout to be heard by the audience. It’s been maybe a year since I tried them, and my ears are still ringing 😂

Chappelle Roan’s Subway (?); it’s on the radio at the moment constantly in my office and it honestly just sounds like wailing for like three minutes. It pierces straight through my noise-cancelling earbuds, and is just genuinely very annoying. Unfortunately, her last one, Pink Pony Club, had a similar effect. I think the pitch and power of her voice is impressive but it’s just the right level to be annoying. No hate to her as an artist, it’s not like that, it’s just those two songs make me want to vomit.

Personally, I block people who espouse things I believe are genuinely spiteful, hateful, or shitty. Generally, I use the block button to “curate” my experience with the intention that I can use Lemmy as brief escapism when I’m in the bathroom or on the train without having my mood affected by somebody posting something shitty.

I don’t block anyone for normal disagreements, because I’m a relatively normal adult and as such that sort of thing doesn’t bother me.
