I would do this if a party was being obnoxious and constantly interrupting/sidetracking the storytelling.

Generally when asked to roll perception, my chars wouldn’t see a florescent yellow wall 3" in front of them, for some reason any die I use rolls low, even the die from that guy who rolls nat 20s constantly
