    The authors of the Constitution separated powers for a reason.

    That’s all well and good until at least one of those branches utterly and completely abdicates its duties…

      Kind of feels like all three branches have done that. Congress isn’t holding the executive or the courts to account, the court is splitting the power transfer with the executive branch to avoid being made outright irrelevant, and the executive branch is acting like a monarchy.
