    In the same way the “genocide joe” and “Democrats betrayed the working class” people weren’t wrong but early November last year was very much not the right time to point it out, you aren’t wrong but now is not a good time to trivialize it with humor.

    Besides, you yourself called it an “unpopular opinion” and a “guilty thought,” so you shouldn’t really be surprised at somebody venting their frustrations at you for voicing it.

      Fair. But the nicknames aren’t funny or even catchy (but things like JD couch fucking was). Anyway, I didn’t want to start any fights, and I feel less guilty now that I said it out loud. I think it’s because I disagree that humor trivializes a serious topic, whatever that humor is. If anything, it keeps us from disengaging with this whole fucking shit show we’re dealing with. The real danger is people tuning out.
