The GameBoy Handy Boy! And boy is this thing… handy. : retrogaming
I bought one of those on sale years ago. When I got to the car I excitedly opened the box only to discover it was broken. I think the speaker hinges were busted. So I took it back and got a refund. It was probably all for the best. Adult me looking at this agrees it looks unusable.

I actually had this as a kid for my Gameboy. It actually wasn’t half bad, but it was extremely unwieldly.

One of my friends had this monstrosity. It really didn’t improve anything, and made holding the Gameboy super annoying. Forgot if this came with a light, that would have been cool.
I had one that was a light and a magnifier, and i removed the magnifier because it was stupid to have to look at the screen at the correct angle or it would get all blurry, and because my middle-school eyes never thought the screen was too small anyway. The light though, it was a game changer.
I had the NUBY Game Light, and it was glorious! No longer were long drives a bane of my existence!
I had one of these as a kid and honestly I loved it. It made it a lot easier to play in the car or in weird light situations. I don’t think mine had the extra buttons/joystick though, just the top part with the magnifier, lights, and speakers.
Same, I remember mine having the buttons but they sucked and I took them off and promptly lost them.
This pic is definitely some modern nerdo blinging out their GameBoy like it’s a luxury purse.
I had a screen light plugin back in the day, though. It made those six hour drives every few weeks bearable, without having to wait for a light to pass over us before I made a jump.
I had a snake shaped light for my GBC way back when lol. Never got any accessories for my original GB
I have one of these bad bois! The lights are so much better than a snake light. I do wish it was modular—I’d love to be able to remove the magnifier at will, and the joystick isn’t the best idea.
