Can also add lists to your filters to assist. “Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool” and “ClearURLs for uBo” are the ones I am aware of.
They’re working on that. Wendy’s is reportedly replacing all menus with screens.

I don’t know. It seems like it’s still an indication that it’s a live number to me. I don’t have experience with forwarding services.
It’s better to just silence it. Providing feedback lets them know it’s a live number. Never respond, just silence.

Check the global app settings. Under Network you can limit your total downloads (Automatic Downloads). For example, I have it limited to 10 downloaded at a time. See if that helps you out.
You can literally accomplish your use case with AntennaPod. You clearly have some issue with FOSS though.
