It really comes down to what platforms they have with government backdoors & data sharing. If they know the government might not be able to access “encrypted” data then they’d rather suck the balls of government than create it anyway. CEOs don’t just make money on ads, they also make money on users that use their apps. Every download or ping then Brendan Eich can go to investors & say that he now has more potential to make them money, so they give him investments in return, which then he can pocket a few million & when/if Trump tries to get legislation passed to ban gay marriage, then Eich is going to likely be helping fund getting that passed again.

No actual congressional politician has that I know of. It would be political suicide until they are sure they are “allowed” to do so. However, it may only take one brave soul and the rest will follow. They plan these things behind closed doors to try to stay united.

What is worse than Biden doing so terrible last night? It’s the Democrats insisting he did really well.
