The only way to make this kind of policy come to life is to get money out of politics as much as possible: hard limits on campaign funds and contributions. Having more money than you opponents shouldn’t give you an advantage.

I come across this sort of comment more and more - the fact that sociopath billionaires extending their influence to the political and judicial system are, in fact, mentally ill.
Believe me, they’re not.
They know very well what they are doing. It’s just that their wealth isolates them from the consequences of it. They don’t care about healthcare, climate change, education, unemployment, because that’s for the 95% to worry about. They are rich enough to don’t give a fuck, and they feel safe doing so.

In any constituency there are undecided voters who don’t know who they’ll vote for until election day. Since the US is a two party system I suppose they are a huge factor in the end result even though there might not be too many of them.

Linux distros are maintained by people that want to create the best OS possible. Windows is maintained by a company that wants to sell you something.
In the last years I’ve tried Ubuntu, Debian, crunchbang and PopOS. A few months ago I asked IT if I could change the os on my company laptop from Windows 10 to Linux Mint. It means I have to stay outside the AD domain, but since almost everything (email, teams, OneDrive…) is available on the web, the only downside is not being able to use the wifi projectors. I can live with that. Mint is simple to use, easy on the eyes and stable as hell. And windows games run really well with proton, except maybe Starfield but I can wait :)

The way a fascist government works is no different from any criminal organization. It’s a heavily patriarchal structure that rewards friends and punishes enemies, and only the guy at the top gets to decide which is which.
With half of the US behind Trump, Fauci might be in real danger, and more like him will follow.
