This one went a lot better than the movies one from yesterday haha
Aw man, the launch on Maxx Force at Six Flags Great America is crazy, and I was really hoping to experience this one since it launched to almost a 50% higher top speed in even less time. I still want to visit this park for Eejanaika but this is sad.
I was really hoping for the first RMC Wild Moose to take Sand Serpent’s spot but I’m looking forward to seeing this one too
I loved this coaster when I rode it last year, but I actually had no issues with the restraints. That being said, it sounds like this will be the same restraints as on Velocicoaster and Pantheon (among others) which are solid so this should be an improvement overall.
I missed out on this park last year during a trip to Pittsburgh because I was a couple weeks too early for rides to open. I’m still hoping to check out Leap the Dips eventually but I’m not sure when I’ll be out there again. Another trip to Kennywood would be fun anyways lol
This video is horrendous but I’m really excited to check this one out next year! Indiana Beach is a reasonable day trip for me, yet I still haven’t been there.
I’m not expecting any changes for the 2024 season since pass sales are well underway and the merger isn’t finalized until sometime next year. Then again, Six Flags has no shame completely redoing pass structure multiple times a year. Maybe Cedar Fair will bring some sanity there lol
I needed to buy a 2024 pass anyways to cover visits to Knott’s Berry Farm and Carowinds this month. Remainder of 2023 and all of 2024 was definitely worth buying at the introductory price. I definitely didn’t predict a Six Flags - Cedar Fair merger during my pass-purchasing process.
I’m wondering if the legacy Six Flags memberships will gain Cedar Fair access or if they’ll be trying to get rid of those in favor of a new pricing structure. I’m still maintaining a $7/month all park membership from a few years ago and it seems too good to be true to get all Cedar Fair parks as well. I already bought a 2024 Cedar Fair pass, so I’m interested to see how this plays out moving forward.
Looks like it’s the same for Carowinds. I’m currently planning a November visit before the winter event so hopefully they don’t drop those weekends last minute.
It’s definitely worth checking out, and Utah is a gorgeous state for outdoor recreation and some awesome scenic drives too!
Unfortunately, I have not been to Knoebels yet because I’m unlucky with eastern PA. I got rained out on Hersheypark and Knoebels earlier this year and ended up being in Hershey on a day the park was closed years ago. I’m going back in the fall for a redemption visit to Hersheypark that hopefully won’t be 0 for 3. I might try to squeeze Knoebels in, but it would be tight given the operating hours.
I actually did ride both Colossus and the sky ride! I can’t even remember the last time I rode a chairlift (other than my last time skiing). It’s very relaxing and a nice way to see the mountain backdrop of the area.
I get scared easily so haunt events don’t quite do it for me lol. I definitely like that night rides are easier to get at this time of year though! I’m looking forward to Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood this year. I really enjoyed the Christmas event at Silver Dollar City so I have high expectations for this one.
Two things I’m really missing are the app dock (used to be a single click of the side button) where I pinned common apps like LA Fitness for my membership card and double-clicking the crown to jump to the previous app. Otherwise, I like that apps are now laid out with just vertical scrolling and I like the new app designs overall.
I had this same experience with it re-announcing directions too which got a little annoying. If you set it to only use offline maps, you won’t see this behavior but searching for destinations is sometimes finicky since it will only look in the offline database and even then may not find everything. I submitted feedback for changing the re-annoucing to a chime since the visual is there on CarPlay anyways. If you haven’t submitted feedback for this, feel free to submit one and reference feedback ID FB13139836 to maybe get more visibility on this.
Aw man, I’m finally going to Dollywood for the first time middle of November. I know this ride has not been very reliable but, it has been a bucket list ride for me ever since it opened. I hope this is for the best but I wish I could experience the launched version.
The first inversion looks like it’ll have some insane hang time!
I’m wondering if this is the same gauge as the Fire in the Hole successor assuming it’s different than conventional I-Box. It should be a similar-sized ride.
This would be a good fit to replace Sand Serpent at Busch Gardens Tampa. I’m excited to start seeing these pop up!
It’s not just that. When connected to an Apple Watch or Apple Pencil (for iPad) the quick toggle maintains these connections along with maintaining handoff and continuity functions between personal devices among other things. In these cases, I think having the quick toggle not fully disable Bluetooth makes more sense to prevent new connections while keeping the existing Watch and Pencil Bluetooth connections active to preserve functionality. Of course, I get that not everyone’s use case is the same, but I rarely need to fully disable the wireless radios. Particularly with Wi-Fi, I use the quick toggle to temporarily disconnect Wi-Fi if I’m on a bad connection away from home. When I return home or to my car (for wireless CarPlay), my phone will reconnect to the respective networks without me needing to remember to re-enable.
Ugh, I can’t believe I forgot about Dragster - rode that one a good 15 years ago!
I didn’t get to ride SkyRider while that was still at Canada’s Wonderland, but it looks like the same model as King Cobra. I wish I could ride a Togo stand-up coaster but I’m not sure when/if that’ll happen.
