Well if you just try to load a news website with and without an ad blocker you will usually notice a huge difference. So yes.

But also, technology has become much more complex compare to the beginning of the internet. So every piece of software is more bloated than it used to be, sometimes for a good reason, sometimes less so.

People sitting on their ass telling others what they should do because “it only takes a minute” is such a stereotype in FOSS that I didn’t think I would see a real one in the wild. Wow.

Je ne connais pas Tournesol et je suis assez peu consommateur de contenu vidéo, mais je peux comprendre que ça soit pesant de mettre de l’énergie dans un truc qui ne fonctionne pas.
