I know this is anecdotal but I am regularly trying to hire entry level, no more than highschool required, at $18 per hour starting. We get interviews set up and they just don’t show up. No text, no email, no call saying, “thanks for the opportunity but I chose something else.” Just don’t show up. I don’t get it.

Honestly I recommend the version made specifically for your distro. I haven’t had the best luck with flatpak but the ones made for Debian, rpm, etc always work great
Way less amenities, that depends on your definition. An entire beautiful house with multiple rooms and a pool and a kitchen, versus a hotel room. Just the fact that we can put the kids to bed in their own rooms is worth it. I can’t even think of amenities the hotels have that I don’t get at air bnbs.
