LAWL, the other post inspired me to check on the status of Fairphone availability in the USA since it’d been a while.
I recently rescued a Pixel 6 in new-ish condition that was factory reset protected (FRP), but didn’t have the exploit to bypass FRP patched. I loaded it with GrapheneOS so I won’t have an excuse to monetarily support Fairphone until I can no longer repair this bad boi, but maybe one of the other USA peeps might been on the last legs with their device.
You could always try VS Codium
I finally just set my Slack status to the cat banging on the keyboard and a link to submit a ticket
Porkbun because it is wholesome as heck
It depends on the implementation. If the authentication is based on TOTP, technically you can dump the seed into any authenticator application. If the implementation is exclusive to push notifications, then you may be SOL.
What service(s) is this in regard to?
The VPN service fad is full of a LOT of great marketing campaigns, but it really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. VPNs are incredibly useful for certain use cases, but for individual privacy and security it’s very ‘meh’.
There are a lot of methods for tracking locations other than your public IP, and so long as you’re using personally identifiable accounts it doesn’t really matter if your IP lists you in Panama. Unless you’re using the VPN to bypass firewall restrictions on your local network, access remote resources, or establish a site-to-site connection between locations, the only thing that’s really accomplished is shifting the burden of trust from the ISP to the VPN provider.
My advice, spend the money on ice cream instead. If you need to lookup something anonymously, use vanilla Tor and don’t sign into any accounts that could be traced back to you while on the Tor network.
**edit: spelling
FTP will go a bit faster since you won’t be adding yet another layer of encryption, or the performance issues of openssh. If you’re certain no one will be sniffing your FTP creds before or after they pass through the Wireguard tunnel, then I’d choose speed for large transfers.
I have a strong appreciation for your color scheme
Thanks for recommending Florisboard! I’ve also been using Openboard when I stumbled on this thread. Florisboard is exactly what I have been looking for!
Yeah, you’re almost always sacrificing something when you support the underdog, but I’m fortunate enough to have the means to vote with my wallet and the motivation to deal with any inconveniences
