I still have mine, what a great machine! I once accidentally stepped on it when hastily getting out of bed and nothing happened, it just continued to work.

Rostock is okayish too, we’re a tourist town with quite a few foreigners. Just don’t go to the rural areas as a non-white person.

I met a girl in art school and lost track of her for a few years. During the pandemic we found each other again. He was trans now, identified as a male and had massive anxiety and body-image related problems.
It was so bad, that he stayed at home for weeks, only ordered food and basic needs online and got an instant panic attack when leaving the house.
I dragged him out to various events and spent time with him as much as possible for almost two years. It helped him get back on his feet.
As soon as he was able to handle his life without my help again and met another guy, he ghosted me.
That hurt a lot, but I would do it again. I still remember visiting him one day and he just started cutting into his arm in front of me because of his mental issues, it was really brutal. I would’ve felt like an absolute asshole if I left right then and there, even if the outcome wasn’t positive for me in the end.
I hope he’s doing well now and maybe one day realizes that he shouldn’t have treated me the way he did. I don’t want gratitude, but an apology would be nice.
Und ich so: “Heute um 14 Uhr läuft ein geiler Film im Kino, ich bin nachher mal für zwei Stunden weg.”
Gleitzeit ist so schön.
(Ich hab “Wunderland” geschaut und es waren nur Rentner im Saal. Hab sogar einen Spielzeugtruck bekommen ʘ‿ʘ)

7·8 months agoTime to RGH your console with the XL patch, get a 5TB harddrive in there and slap all of the games you can find on that thing.
The moment in System Shock 2 where you meet Shodan for the first time. The audio is done so well and the first time I played it, that reveal got me really good.
I had more luck meeting people on a penpal app than getting a single match on any of the major dating apps. The algorithm just always seems to sort me out. It can really mess with your self esteem when you’re never getting a single match or reply to your messages.
It’s definitely not me, because I get hundreds of letters on Slowly, where it’s actually about communication and I’m even going on a vacation with a girl I met there next week.
Tinder & Co. are useless, objectifying apps that build on greed and should be burned to the ground.
This made me laugh so hard. I was also born on the 11th. 🤣
2001 sure was a weird birthday.

“Relapsed” to Windows for a while because I became a graphic designer and running a somewhat current Adobe suite on wine was impossible (it works now).
Slackware has been amazing, but having to built so much stuff from scratch takes too much time nowadays.
And those first Suse years were too rough to keep using it as a daily driver.
Ich möchte nächste Woche eigentlich Urlaub in München mit einer Brieffreundin machen. Hoffentlich fällt das ganze Ding nicht buchstäblich ins Wasser, das wäre echt zum Heulen. :(

Ich habe mich über https://phtn.app auf Feddit eingeloggt und konnte dort meine Userdetails bearbeiten. Das scheint auch die einzige App zu sein, mit der man noch Moderatoren festlegen und Communities schließen kann.
Kommt rüber zu https://discuss.tchncs.de - ist schön hier, stabil, und man kann auch 99 Bilder hintereinander hochladen, um seine alte Community umzuziehen, die durch Feddit’s Bildserverausfall quasi komplett getötet wurde. :(

I had a Thinkpad L390 Yoga before. Constant overheating, the logo sticker just came off one day and stuck to my hand and the battery barely lasted through a meeting. Absolute garbage, never again. The Thinkpad brand is dead to me.
Now I have eight cores, 64GB RAM, a GPU with raytracing support and a 2K IPS display…all in 10 inches with 8-10 hours of battery life. GPD is insane and those specs would cost me an arm and a leg if I stuck with IBM.
