3·11 months agoIn 2017 I bought a ThinkPad with a hidpi screen, which I knew would give me trouble with Linux. Fortunately the Fedora 26 beta had just been released and was using Wayland by default (I wasn’t very Linux savvy to do it myself yet). I’ve been using Wayland on Fedora ever since without issue.
Naive Super. Not sci-fi, but a quick enjoyable read. I’ve read it 4 times now. Its just a fantastic simple book to get back into reading fiction.
I think the whole world just adopt a single time. We’d just get used to midday being 9pm and eating dinner at 2am. No more time zones to worry about.
Summer would be the same as it now. It’s only winter where we’d have daylight starting later and ending later.
I think hating equally based on a single metric is never a based take. If being a billionaire makes you evil then surely having 205.2B makes you a whole lot worse (185 times worse) than having 1.1B.
Also you can like things people do while disagreeing with their ways. Sounds like Swift donates a decent sum while being shitty for having a private jet.
Not trying to stick up for Swift, just trying to add nuance to the conversation.
I like wezterm a lot but lately have not been impressed with some breaking changes on the main branch. I know its basically a nightly release, but that’s the recommended way to install according to their website. The devs acknowledged it, and recommended using a tiling manager as the fix.
In Canada, at least in a city, it’s rare that I can’t find things for the same price or cheaper in local stores. Amazon comes in handy for harder to find items though I’ve been using Aliexpress more for those items lately.
I was always the same. My strategy on the apps was to ask them out after 10 messages.
I didn’t know about this specifically, but I’m holding onto my 2017 ThinkPad until I can buy an Arm laptop and run Linux on it.

I feel this too. I’ve started and stopped vyvanse quite a few times now, but overall it enhances my mood which in turn makes me actually stay motivated and do things I like doing.
wezterm. Works great on wayland and the documentation is amazing. And it’s built in rust if you’re one of those people.
I have an old mini PC that I’m going to use with proxmox to share some of the load from my nas. Today I setup tailscale and for it working with unbound DNS so I can use my domain when connected.
It’s endless!
Just wanted to say, I searched ddg for a sway everforest theme and was thrilled to see a lemmy link come up.
I’ve used mixplorer for ages, its been great.
Edit: nevermind, apparently its not open source.
I was so excited when I discovered this app. To me it’s one of the most perfect apps. I wish I could use it on desktop.
