It’s focused on spanish and regional languages of spain. But I think it can also do things in English.

When running the wasm version on firefox it has very bad framerate.

So as many before me I pulled my sleeved and opened the firefox profiler to see what’s going on. Well, the framerate has never been better. As soon as you turn off the profiler the framerate drops.

I thought I was going insane, until I saw that other people luckily found the same behavior. For now, the unofficial fix is opening the firefox profiler when playing on firefox.

But I know that in Latin America they also used to change the title of some media sometimes. Funny enough they used different titles than in Spain.

For instance, the movie “White Chicks” in Spain is “Dos rubias de pelo en pecho” and in Latin America is “¿Y donde están las rubias?”.

It’s also just two words. Spanish worlds tend to be longer than english ones.

“Muertos” is a direct translation of “dead”.

“Evil” would be “maligno”, but “terroríficamente” was used "which would be like “terrifying”.

Anyway spanish translations used to change a lot the titles of the movies back in the day, most famously “die hard” is “la jungla de cristal” (directly translated as: the glass jungle) here.

I’ve heard that they did this because direct translations or english titles didn’t work as well here, and a change in the title made more people want to watch the movie.

Nowadays this happens way less, most titles are direct translations or use their english title directly.

It works for me. But only for some movies.

For instance “terroríficamente muertos” is the spanish name for “evil dead”. And I can search both titles and jellyfin finds the movie.

I have jellyfin and metadata download set to spanish. It doesn’t seem to work with all movies though. Maybe some movies do include a secondary title in the metadata and that’s what’s being used?

In Spain we are starting to get negative prices every weekend for electricity thanks to renewables. France is not even close to those prices with their bet for nuclear.

How many of this intelligent species have become “interstellar”? 0

I don’t think those numbers can be extrapolate, even to the observable universe, to ensure that there are any species capable of interestellar travel around. Living species and even intelligent ones? Maybe. But a long lasting inteligent and interestellar species? We are not an example of that, so we have 0 examples to extrapolate. Only our wishful thinking that humanity will last longer and keep progressing, but that is just a hope, not real yet.

To understand nazis religion it is important to understand religion in germany.

Back in the day, and today is similar in former west Germany, Germany had a fairly even split between catholicism and protestantism.

So the nazi party taking a strong religious dogma either way would had been very harmful towards their objectives, as half the population could refuse to follow a catholic/protestant movement. That’s why their leader and the party didn’t really seemed to take a strong religious stance. But at the end they were linked to the conservative values that are associated with religion. And his allies, Spain and Italy. Both formed fascist dictatorships very linked with the Catholic church, being their countries homogeneous in that aspect. In fact Spanish dictatorship is often refered as national-catholicism, and Mussolini had full support from the Vatican and the Pope.

At the end fascism, in whichever form and name it takes, tend to link with conservative values that are usually also linked with religion. The nazi party being just an exception due Germany particular religion situation.

I suppose it would be a very boring movie if all actors were just asleep the whole time.
