@3dmvr In my experience, it works best with #Friendica. Firstly, it is the most widely federated (in addition to activity pub also #Diaspora + if required also Bluesky and Tumblr).
Secondly, in my experience, posts from the #Fediverse are displayed best and most completely. For example, this post by #Lemmy or #Peertube posts are displayed in full here, whereas Mastodon, for example, has problems with posts with headings, does not display video descriptions, and does not display all images.

@JerukPurut404 Yes, if you want to use Google apps, you should leave it on. With the #UniversalAndroidDebloater, there are different levels of how much you want to delete/deactivate. With the first two, it only affects apps that you can easily reinstall if necessary.

ja, das ist schwer so allgemein zu sagen: bei Mastodon gibt es die Textbegrenzung, bei den anderen Diensten, die auch “Microblog” genannt werden (Akkoma, Firefish etc.), ist die Textlänge variabel. (kurze) Videos/ Audios, Bilder, Umfragen usw. können sie auch alle teilen, auch Beiträge in Foren/Communitys erstellen. Abonnieren können sie alle Accounts/Gruppen/Kanäle aus dem Fediverse, die über das gleiche Protokoll laufen. Die Inhalte werden nur verschieden angezeigt, je nach Software und Clients.

@Tealk @caos tja, Microblogging - Macroblogging - Blogging …ich finde die Begriffe verwirrend. Man muss einfach mal reinschauen, um zu sehen, was es bietet, wie es aussieht, usw., um für sich selbst den passenden Zugang (oder Zugänge) zum #Fediverse zu finden.
Über Plume und WriteFreely gibt es ja auch Artikel in der Serie. Blogging ist vielleicht noch am eindeutigsten als Begriff, aber die Anbindung ans Fediverse ist da dann auch eingeschränkt bzw. einseitig.
Einige empfehlen auch, dass die “Nutzer-Seiten” in #Firefish als eine Art #Blog genutzt werden können.

@cows_are_underrated es geht v.a. um das Word-Press-Plugin , das einen Word-Press-Blog mit dem Fediverse verbinden kann. Neuerdings auch mit wordpress.com-Seiten, so dass es sicher für sehr viel mehr Leute interessant wird.

@dnddeutsch danke, ja, stimmt, die kenne ich (über jointhefediverse hatte ich sogar auch schon mal einen Artikel geschrieben). Die Tabelle dort fast ja Peertube und Owncast in einer Gruppe zusammen (ist das sinnvoll? und ist der Vergleich mit TikTok passend?)

Auf die Fediverse-Party-Seite würde ich ggf. verlinken mit dem Verweis, dass es noch einige Plattformen mehr gibt.

@Blaze @caos The federation between Firefish and Lemmy is problematic. According to a #Firefish admin, this is because Firefish requires “Authorised Fetch”, which #Lemmy has not implemented correctly. Here from Friendica it works fine.

@Ninguem It is a kind of forum, but not quite as structured. The special thing for me is that it is part of the Fediverse. For me, it is a platform that offers a topic-centred access to the Fediverse. It follows a different logic than microblogging services like Mastodon, which are account-centred and in which the content has to be structured by the individual users via lists, hashtags, antennas and the like.
It is possible to interact with Lemmy content from Mastodon etc. and also to create posts in Lemmy communities (I’m replying here from #Friendica)). But with Lemmy account (which I also have) the content is of course even better structured. But it is not quite as structured as in a classic forum.

@President_Pyrus @SmugBedBug It is not necessary that everyone who uses #Lemmy has to be a Lemmy user. Thanks to the #Fediverse , everyone from Mastodon, Misskey, etc. can also participate in Lemmy content (also post in communities, just don’t create your own communities). For example, I am currently replying from Friendica. The circle of people is much, much larger, so it’s not a problem if Lemmy lacks people.
