Oh man hey’ya fellow adhd’er. I’m in the same boat. I like going to this nice little city park with a pond. I park there for lunch and read. Sometimes I listen to the radio so I can see how that could be used for the audio. Plenty of people are posted up there for lunch so I don’t really look out of place. And if the weather is nice I can get out and find a place to sit on the lawn.

I have a fan running on mine. You made me feel good about that choice! I have a 5T external SSD i purchased. Would I be able to house media, as well as a private lemmy instance with a front end and the ability to hold pics users upload, etc? Just family stuff, nothing enterprise level.

Thanks for the information. Being completely honest, I had to look up what transcoding even was. But hey, that’s the point of this current project I’m working. To learn all this stuff! I have a pi4 and really only plan to use that to run the server. Then i was going to use my PC (Linux) and macbook for coding project, etc. and building the front end(s). Does any of that make sense?

Honestly I moved over here a couple months ago and haven’t had the urge to look back. I love this place.

Out of curiosity I read that post and top comments. That place just smells tainted now. If that post is on tenth accurate I feel bad for anyone that feels the need to stay and be part of that drama.

All I can say is that for every person voicing their opinion and leaving by making a scene, there are many more of us just silently deleting our comments and posts and just disappearing from reddit. Those are the ones reddit should be concerned about.
