Finally got out this morning. It was 2°. Good run, ended up quite slow in comparison to my recent times, but felt comfortable and strong, so still happy with it.
Kids birthday party today so no run. I’ll likely go tomorrow if the clean up goes ok…
Kings birthday weekend here, so got down to the beach again. Great run this morning in the misty rain through the back of the town, then onto the beach. Doggo off lead for about 3km or so. Spontaneous decision at the end of the run to go for a swim was a good one - bloody cold though.
ActivityLog2 ?
What the hell watch… I’m pushing myself here, almost making 5min/km for the whole run and coming within 10-20 seconds of my 5km pb each time, and apparently I’m maintaining or in recovery…
Been feeling a little under the weather so missed my weekend run. Got out this morning though. It’s getting darker and colder in the mornings here. Doesn’t seem to affect how much I sweat.
Woke up with a headache this morning, so getting out was a struggle. Glad I did though, as always. Managed 10km (53min), by not turning home just yet a couple of times. Doggo got into the rhythm too which helped.
Good 5.5km run with the doggo this morning…was actually about 6.5 I think, but I forgot to restart my watch at some point… daaaah
If you can give it a try I think you’ll like it. It’s the only time of day my body let’s me do it soreness wise.
Missed a few days, but got out this morning. Upping my regular things from 5 to 6/6.5km. feels pretty good.
PS4 ( Bedrock). Seems I’m the only one here.
Slept in this morning and missed my run… Will go tomorrow, promise.
For me, have decided to do my first race. A 10km option in the local marathon. It’s in October so heaps of time to prep. I’m currently consistently getting out with the doggo three times a week doing about 5-6km each time. Did a 7km run this morning with him. Might look at one of those Garmin training programs to get up to 10km. Anyone tried that with success?
I live in a suburb in inner Melbourne. There’s one river trail near me, but I wish there were more trail running options locally. We go camping in the hills/coastal area/forested areas fairly often, and the trail running whilst there is such a highlight of the trips for me.
As promised, just got back now. Found a section of the creek where the doggo could run off lead, so that was great fun. Very humid here this morning though, so I’m a standing shower right now - doggo jumped in the creek numerous times.
Getting back in the rhythm of running every second day after a bit of a break… Missed my run this morning though, so I’ll go tomorrow, promise.
This is him. He’s a golden retriever sized groodle x coolie. I live in the city, so he’s usually running next to me on one of those waist leashes. Can’t trust him not to race off after a cat/electric scooter etc.
On holiday up in the mountains, so went for a 5km with the doggo off lead. First time we’ve done it and he was great, just ran about 10m in front of me the whole time. Dirt road, hilly, little section of trail… Was good. Hills a lot stepper than I’m used to though, so pretty sore today.
Someone needs to add an F-you quick reply for that.
