I followed up with a bug report.

No. Tho I volunteered. It’s now up to @ernest.
@ernest, I am volunteering to help moderate the science magazine to free it from spam.
/r/Reaper (55k) is still restricted.
That’s not what was asked for.
If you want a platform with ActivityPub integration (i.e. it’s part of the Fediverse), then there are several options:
There’s also WordPress, which has a free hosted tier, and can alternatively be set up on your own server. There is an ActivityPub plugin for WordPress, which can be used freely on your own server, or with the paid business plan on wordpress.com.
Another possibility would be to use a Mastodon instance that doesn’t limit your character count to 500, such as Aethy (which IIRC has a limit of 1M characters per post).
If I were to start a blog again (and I have considered it), then I would probably use WriteFreely, or alternatively Aethy.
It was time for me to return to Linux, which I’ve been using on and off for two decades. This time I wanted to give Nobara a go, with its optimizations for gaming. But alas, the LiveUSB is unusable. The default options lead to a black screen (I guess when the kernel framebuffer kicks in), and the “troubleshooting” option gives me a desktop that crashes in a few minutes, when still setting up the options in the installer. I guess Wayland is too unstable.
So I returned to Gentoo and am now in the middle of installing that (again). Its LiveUSB system is stable and giving me no problem.
I use Mastodon for that.
How is m/men gross? We don’t allow any misogyny or other bigotry.
I guess you’re not familiar with what a magazine is on Kbin, or you’re just pulling OP’s leg.
That’s a great idea!
Religion and the belief in an invisible god, for which there is no good evidence.
Interesting! Tho the link is erroneously labeled as Japanese.
As an open source enthusiast and a tinkerer, Android obviously.
Ah! My bad.
It’s confusing as the post appears here to be coming from kbin.social, but now I see it’s actually posted in a community on lemmy.world.
On desktop, when you hover over someone’s user name, after a couple of seconds a pop-up will appear, which has a field for adding a note. I’m assuming that’s private, to mirror how that works elsewhere, but I’m not 100% sure.

Nah. It was pretty conclusively shown by Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi, and Alex Gutentag that covid came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology: https://public.substack.com/p/first-people-sickened-by-covid-19?r=58hqy
You can completely customize Gentoo Linux to be what you want it to be and slim it down to what you need.
