I’m confused. It’s a Linux native build, but they call it steam deck native. Does this mean it’s not optimized for Nvidia since steam deck is AMD hardware? I’m fairly new to Linux, so the wording is throwing me off.

It’s weird seeing free game associated with subscription. I’d probably say it’s complimentary. I mean technically it could be free if someone else in the family is paying for Amazon prime and you’re just reaping the benefits of prime gaming.
I’m not 100% sure, just basing off observation since I don’t own the game yet, the oblivion remaster seems to have always on ray tracing. On the different videos I’ve seen showcasing the game, in the settings there’s options for different lumen settings. But they’re never off when you put it on lowest settings. It’s either low or high for lumen. I think that explains the not so favorable performance on steam deck for most people.
I’d love my speculation to be proven wrong. So if anyone has the game and can post a screenshot with the lumen completely turned off, without the use of external tools or modding, that would be great.
Started playing Star wars the force unleashed. Got 1 and 2 from prime gaming a long time ago. Installed through heroic. I played the first one when I was young on the Wii. Never played the second.
I wanted to play Star Wars the force unleashed 1. i got it through prime gaming a couple years ago i think. i installed it through heroic games launcher. but it loads to a black screen with audio on game mode. no other sounds played, like menu sounds when you use d-pad or the thumb sticks. but when i tried in desktop mode it loaded up fine. a bit bummed out about it not working.
You forgot to mention John cleese is in the game.
I actually gave it a try by just disabling the forced compatability and then using __GL_13ebad=0x1 %command% in the launch options. it works with dlss. only issue for me are the frame drops that pretty much make it unplayable. i saw a post somewhere, someone was saying more power was going to their gpu on the native build. i think that’s what’s happening to me and its causing some throttling. on proton with vulkan, the game runs fine for the most part.
