It’s like a little mobile temporary office. Imagine a small residential trailer, but at a building site and with a construction foreman using it as his office.
Whenever I think of them I see small, drafty stand-alone offices sitting in top of breeze blocks and with dents in the walls and cheap shitty vinyl siding walls. I’m sure there are different sizes and levels of comfort for them. And that Man United would get decent ones for their ladies. But even still, it’s a big downgrade for them from the nice permanent changing rooms they are used to.
I hadn’t heard about that until you mentioned it here. So I just looked it up. Wow, yeah that is fucked up.
They are kicking the women’s team out of their training ground to make way for the men’s team, due to a revamp of the men’s training facilities. This will result in the women being forced into temporary portacabins for the next 12 months.
Plus, a lot of their first team players are leaving, including the likes of Earps, Zelem, and Garcia. Sounds like due to poor contract management, lack of planning, and general disillusionment.
And the PFA are now stepping in on behalf of their players because of gross mismanagement - for the second time in 3 years.
Meanwhile, our women’s team is going from strength to strength, and they are being raised up and respected by our club and fanbase with each passing year. Because class is permanent! 😎
I see Paul Scholes is still a massive wanker. No surprise his flagrant anti-Arsenal bias is shining through.
I’m so glad our former-players-turned-pundits include the likes of Wrighty and Martin, and not giant bell-ends like Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, and Rio Ferdinand.
We also have people like Lee Dixon (who has turned into a miserable bastard) and Paul Merson (though he recently admitted he’s more of a Chelsea fan, which in hindsight makes a lot of sense). But even they aren’t as bad as the ‘Yanaited’ contingent.
Apparently a deal between us and Sevilla for Albert Sambi Lokonga is in the works. He’s agreed personal terms, so now it’s just down to the clubs ironing out a deal. Considering how badly he want to shed some players, hopefully it goes through. It will be good for all parties.
Edit: And we have our first official signing of the summer! We’ve signed an 18 year old Danish international keeper to our academy - Lucas Nygaard. Not exactly a first-team baller right now. But either way, welcome aboard Lucas!
Exactly. They will probably send all the citizens they want to get rid of knowing that they will likely die. It’s a win-win for Rocket Man: he gets to eradicate any ‘inferior’ or ‘disloyal’ peons while ingratiating himself to Putin.
Considering all the ways they’ve been ridiculously incompetent in their invasion of Ukraine, I could actually see this incident being due to ineptitude.
Monkeypaw strikes again: TAA returns to play in midfield, totally unsettling the balance of the team.
A branded dildo so one can get fucked yet again by Netflix?
Knowing Netflix and how their content quality has generally fallen in recent years, any new flavors will probably be like “Voluptuous Vomit” and “Dynamite Dog Shit”.
For those who don’t get the reference, I think this is referring to the Mark of Cain teaching in Mormonism. This resulted in black members of the church being seen as lesser or inferior by many white members. The church officially abandoned it as an official teaching in 1978. But the stigma for black members still persists to some degree unofficially, with some white church members still believing it today.
I was listening to Romano’s transfer live stream yesterday. Doesn’t sound like we have many public deals near fruition right now.
The only one he mentioned for us that was basically a ‘here we go’ was the Raya one, which we all already knew was going to happen. For all the other ones that are out in the open we’re not the favourites.
Though I’m not too worried. I trust Edu’s transfer strategy and abilities in the market. And I suspect we have some deals simmering on the down-low that will surprise pretty much all of us.
The other thing is that we don’t need massive changes to the squad, just 2 or 3 positions. It looks like we are targeting very specific player profiles rather than just looking for a warm body to fill a given position. And I think that’s a good approach.
Who would be you guys’ ideal signings?
For me I like the look of that Turkish fullback at Fenerbahce (though it sounds like someone else will get him). And some sort of a young defensive midfielder, not sure who though. A physically big striker would be nice, but I’m not convinced by any of the big names we’ve been linked to.
Russia reminds me of the black knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. He has all his limbs cut off by Arthur, to the point where he’s just a useless torso perched on the ground. But he’s still defiantly insulting Arthur and looking for a fight.
The beatings will continue until morale improves!
He’s been listening to his pal Trump too much. But the pro-Russian contingent is less significant in the UK than it is in the US.
This is a huge coup for Wrexham! He was pure quality for them in League 2 last season. And given that he’s currently a Championship-level keeper who is young and still improving, that’s done brilliantly to nab him.
“I start kissing them. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful ancient texts. I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the tablet. You can do anything.”
I’m surprised Alito went with the majority on this one. And a little surprised Kavanaugh did too. I’m also surprised it was an 8-1 ruling.
I’m not at all surprised Thomas was in the minority.
Sounds like Amario Cozier-Duberry is about to leave us. He’s turned down a new contract because he doesn’t see a path to the starting XI.
Dell announced a new return-to-office initiative earlier this year. In the new plan, workers had to classify themselves as remote or hybrid.
Those who classified themselves as hybrid are subject to a tracking system that ensures they are in a physical office 39 days a quarter, which works out to close to three days per work week.
Alternatively, by classifying themselves as remote, workers agree they can no longer be promoted or hired into new roles within the company.
Holy corporate oppression, Batman! That’s a shitty deal no matter which option you choose.
I’m glad they’ve got themselves into a sticky situation.
Also, this observation was funny (in a sad way):
One person said they’d spoken with colleagues who had chosen to go hybrid, and those colleagues reported doing work in mostly empty offices punctuated with video calls with people who were in other mostly empty offices.
Good questions. Hopefully it’s only the changing facilities that they are losing for 12 months. I mean, that alone sucks and would be demoralizing for them. But losing all their facilities would be even worse.
