I haven’t quite found a let’s play of Caves of Qud that sold me on that game. But definitely might check it out again if it works well on the steam deck.

You must not have traveled far, the game has some wild locations, military locations and labs are where you can have a lot of fun or die trying.

The inventory system is great, I tend to find myself going too deep into organizing my stuff, it’s an enjoyable system.

Dedicated GPUs were pretty common in the 2000s, they were required for most games, unlike the 90s where it was an unstandardized wild west. The failure rate had to be higher, I know I had 3 cards die with less than 2 years use on each card in the 2000s. Cases back then had terrible airflow and graphic demands jumped quickly.

I distantly remember a guy who was dying of cancer, but kept up an absolute tirade against EA. There was so much ill will then, it would be funny if they made the same mistake.

In favor of snow melting faster: a) Greater surface area per mole for evaporation, b) Greater porosity per mole for water seepage to transfer heat to interior of snow.

In favor of ice melting faster: a) Radiant energy can penetrate the clear surface of ice directly to the interior.

I’d guess ice will melt faster on a sunny day, while snow will melt faster on a cloudy day, if (a) ambient air and ground temperatures are the same on both days, (b) relative humidity is the same on both days.

After reading that that source, sounds like a complicated question.
