  • I don’t think it’s the wearing of nappies that is worthy of ridicule. You are right, it’s a medical question, people who need it should wear it, and everybody else should just stfu about it. (Except perhaps in the odd case when medical conditions do come into question while assessing the fitness of a candidate to an office, especially such a high stakes and demanding one as the potus, but that’s by the by).

What is chilling is the followers of Trump who try to make a virtue out of it. And ridiculous. Laughing at them is the right response because the other option is utter despair.

  • I was listening to a podcast on moral philosophy (wouldn’t you wanna be as cool as me??), and one suggestion that’s stuck with me was the morality of, trigger warning,

    spoiler

    ‘life like child sex robots’.

As in, would we as a society want to permit such things, knowing that they could potentially save humans from actual harm if they offer an outlet that scratches an itch? On the other hand, would they bring forth more harmful desires in a greater number of potential perpetrators, leading to even more harm?

Anyway, I’m glad it’s not my job to contemplate such disturbing topics.

  • What if it’s a new couple of two homeowners who move in together, should they sell one property before the relationship solidifies?

What if the grandchildren are in secondary school when Nana dies, is the family allowed to hold on to this second property for the few years until the kids move out/in?

What if you accept a contract position in another town, should you be forced to sell and buy, or is it okay to rent out the home you have and rent another elsewhere?

My point is that there is nuance at the lower end of the scale, and the enemy is big corporations and landlords of massive portfolios.
