Made me think of this Futurama scene.
Sadly I I think you’re right. I too know quite a few people who lean left that get caught up in the whole ‘GMOs and vaccines are bad’ camp.
I was spammed with those when shorts started. It took forever but I finally don’t have those suggested anymore. As someone else posted, once creators I follow started doing shorts, those appeared as suggestions and took over the feed.
I believe that study (I could be mistakenly thinking of another study) also showed that their bone density decreases with domestication.
I absolutely love that haha.
Not sure why you’re being downvoted. I feel like her and Bill Maher are the left’s version of Tucker Carlson. Sure they’re not AS egregious as Tucker and the Fox wackos but they come off so pompous and smug.
My dad and I loved the original Daily Show with Jon Stewart and when Jon left (I’m so happy he’s back now), I tried some other shows and my dad suggested Maddow. I felt like I was watching Fox News at points. I couldn’t make it through an episode.
I believe he specifically said it during one of the debates. I really wish he would have followed through with it.
As a former 3rd party voter; it’s a wasted vote. I don’t like either parties but voting 3rd party favors the GOP in US elections. Now that the GOP is full steam ahead on facism, voting 3rd party is dangerous. Hopefully more municipalities, states, and national elections will migrate to ranked choice voting to make voting for other parties a viable option. Until then, I’d rather not vote for the party that wants a dictatorship.
Fully agree. My employees have unlimited sicks days. If they’re not feeling well, I’d rather they stay home and rest up. We work with schools so spread happens so quick and easily.
If you stay away from people when you’re sick that definitely helps. The only drawback that is you may be contagious before showing symptoms.
Getting boosters help reduce spread and reduce risks of complications from viruses (like getting an annual flu shot or Tdap boosters). Not everyone can get the vaccine (i.e. they’re allergic) or individuals may have weakened immune systems and their body can’t produce enough antibodies. If the community continues to test and get boosters, it helps everyone stay healthier and potentially save lives.
Just because it’s endemic doesn’t mean there’s no more action needed. Hospitals may not be packed like they were (although they still get busy with COVID during peaks stressing the system), it doesn’t mean that you can’t help protect others.
One of the positive things that came from this pandemic is at home tests (not just for COVID). By testing when sick (whether it’s the flu, COVID, rsv, etc… I’ve had COVID where I really thought it was allergies. Was about to go out to meet with friends and figured I’d test just in case. Sure enough I was positive with what felt like mild hay fever (it was summer time). I’m just glad I tested and didn’t get anyone else sick.
I agree. I feel like many people aren’t testing. I had it very mild in June of 2023. I thought it was allergies but tested and sure enough; positive. My fiance thought she had a cold in November of 2023 but decided to test and it was positive. Meanwhile all these people around us have “colds” but aren’t actually testing. I somehow escaped it when my fiance had it so I got a booster last month hoping I can escape this wave and help cut the spread.
May I ask why? My old town had about a dozen golf courses when I was growing up. Now when I drive by it’s all housing developments other than the few that remain. It used to be a more rural area.
I’d much rather see green space and golf courses than housing developments. While I completely agree that there is a housing shortage, it appears that root issue isn’t solved by more housing developments on golf courses. Instead, why not convert existing buildings (such as unused office spaces) into public housing. Or, prevent corporations or investment firms from buying up real estate/housing to turnaround and jack up costs.
I may be biased but I’ve had these views before picking up golf. I mainly use golf as a way to stay active as I’m getting older and get outside in the fresh air.
I love mine. I just have a little Impreza and it is a beast in the snow.
You can get wireless IP cameras and put them on a separate wireless network that does not connect to the internet.
Not sure why you’re being downvoted when you’re right.
As a small business owner: nothing. My employees have been extremely productive being able to work from home. We already drive more than the average job. Driving to the office just watses time and money for everyone. We use our office now for storage more than anything else.
I remember it as well. That’s when I started buying unlocked phones and rooting them to get around having to pay. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out there wasn’t a fee anymore. I really hope that having to pay for hotspot isn’t coming back.
Is it Washington Golf Course by chance?
They feed their young through regurgitation so they do have the ability! Now can it be projected at a distance? Hopefully someone can inform us lol.
