Why are there so many tankies on Lemmy?

I mean it’s heavily advertised by YouTubers. And basically everything that sponsors YouTube videos is a scam.

How is it more related to this than to any other geopolitical conflict?

You can really tell 4Chan is down currently.

Sure, there are a lot of naughty opinions on 4Chan. But at the end of the day, people more or less accepted other opinions. This doesn’t compare to the absolutely insane range people on subreddits like PoliticalHumor show when they encounter different positions.
