Starcraft was an incredible adaptation. It stayed very true to the original, including all the game content, and it was simply a very good (but complex) game. Unfortunately Fantasy Flight lost the license very quickly and had to remake it as Forbidden Stars years later… and then lost the license quickly again.

The 2010 Civ game is also an excellent game with the expansions. Although the new one from 2017 with the Terra Incognita expansion seems to be liked even more, but I haven’t played it yet.

Naja, mir solls recht sein. Der Arbeitsmarkt dreht sich jetzt gewaltig Richtung Arbeitnehmer und so Dinge wie Flexibilität bei Arbeitszeit und Arbeitsort werden dadurch nur leichter einzufordern.

Nun gehe ich wählen, und ratet mal, welche Partei mir als einzige nicht erzählen will, dass ich mir alles nur einbilde.

Ich gehe nur mal auf diesen Teil ein: Diese Probleme werden doch ständig von CDU/CSU aggressiv angesprochen? Innere Sicherheit ist ein Kernthema der Konservativen und in der aktuellen Debatte um Deutschlands zukünftige Migrationspolitik ist der Hauptkritikpunkt der Union immer, dass Einwanderung in die Sozialsysteme verhindert werden muss, Asylpolitik nicht mit Migrationspolitik vermischt werden darf (als Kritik am “Spurchwechsel”) und es werden auch immer mehr Abschiebungen gefordert.

Von der FDP kommt das natürlich auch, aber da sie Teil der Regierung sind natürlich aktuell nicht mehr so scharf.

Reddit als alternativlos zu beschreiben klingt für mich wie eine selbsterfüllende Prophezeiung. Wenn man in letzter Konsequenz nicht bereit ist einen Schlussstrich zu ziehen, dann bleiben temporäre Blackouts natürlich wirkungslos.

Das macht wenig Hoffnung auf Besserung und hinterlässt ganz klar Bedenken, dass die deutschen Mods doch irgendwann aufgeben und sklavisch weiter für Reddit arbeiten, statt etwas Neues aufzubauen.

E.g. last year Microsoft Azure’s CEO tweeted that “it’s time to halt starting any new projects in C/C++ and use Rust for those scenarios where a non-GC language is required”, Windows contains some Rust code now and the Linux kernel also supports Rust in addition to C since December.

That and there is some rapid development for the apps going on right now. Lemmy definitely still needs some UI improvements and has a bunch of little problems which could turn away new users prematurely. So it would be good if there was some advertisement in July when the reddit apps shut down.
