Elon Musk is Nazi scum and the Tesla has issues, but the infotainment system is the best you can get in any car and the main reason I haven’t been able to get rid of it, ignoring the fact that literally every other non Chinese EV in the same price range in my country is objectively worse specced.

Having an extremely responsive map with satellite imagery that boots up instantly is already better than every other car out there, but it also has built-in dashcam and livestream functionality for all 4 cameras, which is a bitch to install in other cars, and it’s already saved me a bunch of times.

Android Auto just plain sucks ass, disconnects constantly and a lot of newer models still require a wired connection.

Also worth noting you’re not paying for the infotainment, you’re paying for the cellular connection, with whatever local cellular company they are working with. In my case it’s cheaper than getting a data plan directly from the cellular company and my old Hyundai didn’t even have that option in my country.

I remember coming away from her videos with the perception that hydrogen fuel cells are dumb. So she did a pretty bad job shilling it, if that is the case.

Hydrogen is less efficient, so you waste energy and you have to transport hydrogen from producer to consumer, usually with gas powered vehicles anyway.

I don’t see the point of your last paragraph? Yes, 100k is less than 3m, but it’s still more than 20k, and every penny counts as an indie. Additionally I don’t think Unreal offers anything more than Unity for a majority of Indies to justify the extra cost.

Unreal is 1M lifetime, Unity is 1M in a 12 month window, also per game. If you make that much, unless you F2P, Unity will be cheaper. My total Unity expenses are < 20K and new fees won’t affect me, Unreal would have been > 100K.

Unity’s new fees are unacceptable, don’t get me wrong, but I would still pick Unity over Unreal regardless. I’m favoring Godot atm, though.
