“It’s time for this war to end”
My dude, this was never a war, legitimising genocide in this way doesn’t help.

Can’t help but feel for the developers here. I get that Bethesda has no responsibility to keep 3rd party Devs updated, but surely someone on the team would have noticed the potential for community engagement and worked with those putting the time and effort into the IP.
Appreciate you taking the time, I’ve got some research to do!
Hey what are all of the logos there? I know almost all of them but I’m unsure on a few.
I can’t argue with your logic here, and neither can I fault your conclusion. All that being the case, though, what can US voters do in this case?
Not vote? Vote 3rd party? Do you guys even have more than 2 parties over there? Seems like you have even more of a duopoly than we do over here in the UK.
I’ll be real, that situation seems pretty fucked, but I have no idea about US politics really, I’m from Wales.
That being said, our main political parties are essentially in this same state by the looks of things.
Turns out we should have been helping Ukraine against Putin’s fascistic colonialism instead of supporting an entirely separate set of fascists commit genocide in Palestine.
Wild that the answer to young people being exposed to literal genocide and having an opinion about it, isn’t to try and do something about the genocide, but to call it indoctrination and try to ban it.
Make it make sense.
Yeah this is exactly what it is.
The commenter above likely read something they disagree with on substack and has chosen to hate the entire platform because of it.
This is pretty cool, thanks.
I’ll be honest, I’m unsure how these things are related. That being said, I’m all for platform scrutiny, and I’m aware of this controversy.
Substack have since reversed their decision on this and have taken action against a number of Nazi sources, though I would absolutely agree that more could and should be done.
For what it’s worth, have you had a look at the deep dark areas of Lemmy lately? Many a Nazi and god knows what else over here too, unfortunately.
First let me say, thanks for taking the time to write this out, hugely appreciate you for that.
Will definitely look to introduce more studies that I can then pick apart, can see how that would help with length and substance. I’ve been trying to walk the line between being too academic and too, well, not. I always had the thought that a vast majority of people would likely turn off if they start seeing academic studies references and the likes. That being said, I don’t actually have the data on if that would be true for my readership, so it’s worth a shot.
Combining these is a great idea, I’m going to go ahead and do that now, thanks!
Have huge problems with removing “I” statements from my work, so it’s always great to have another set of eyes on an article, thanks for pointing this out. I think I need to start reading over my articles more as just an interested reader than as the author, once I’ve finished up and decide to publish something, practice makes perfect I suppose.
Thanks for everything here.
Appreciate you providing your perspective on this, and I tend to agree in some cases, having been the third wheel in a situation like that too.
You can dislike this woman and this iteration of ‘new labour’ for many legitimate reasons, but this isn’t one of them.
Thank you.
Hard yes, even with a small fine for failing to vote (£50-100) - With the caveat that spoiling the ballot/voting none of the above is also an accepted admission.
We need to start taking steps to reverse political apathy asap, this can be one of many.
Yeah, this was my assumption also, for the record I’m totally fine with that but it was worth an ask!
The electorate is for sure heading left, if you look into it though, our parties are not. The Labour Party (Clear favourites to win next time) have been gradually sliding right over the last 5 years, adopting more centrist and centre-right policies in an attempt to win over right-wing voters.
Many on the left in the UK are incredibly unhappy, with good reason. The leader of Labour described his current strategy as a “under-new-management, eliminate-the-left” approach.
That’s not to say that things wouldn’t be better, of course, just not ideal for many left-wing voters out there looking for progressive change.
Can confirm the Game pass part.
They also actively ignore those ‘No licence needed’ declarations, I’ve submitted three, two online and one by mail and they still routinely threaten to show up on my doorstep ‘any day now’
Why ask me to declare it if you’re going to ignore that? There’s probably cause for a complaint there but I’d rather not waste the oxygen.
