Can confirm. When I got diagnosed with GAD, SzPD and rediagnosed with ADHD, my therapist asked me why I was so anxious all the time. After giving them the rundown of everything going on around me, they told me to not think about it.

Like, I get it. Would be cool. But, it’s around me. Would be easier to avoid the ground beneath my feet. They did end up helping me fine-tune my routine to unfuck myself when spiraling into a panic attack though.

America, americans, or american politicians? I’ve got different opinions. The common american may be misguided or misinformed, but they’re not hateful. America itself, has done incredible damage to the world, all while claiming they’re all for liberty and freedom after being dragged into the most clear-cut good vs. bad war almost a hundred years ago. Ever since, it’s has been dragged kicking and screaming towards progress, and fighting very hard to go back to the stone age. American politicians are nearly all wastes of skin.

Nah. Went over to Liverpool and London, there’s good food. Just avoid low-end british cuisine, high end is fine, but expensive. Lebanese places in particular seemed to be all-around great, with good prices, tasty food, and friendly people.

One caveat to this: make sure it isn’t a game you know inside and out. You’ll go by memory instead of actively trying to interact with the language. At least that’s the way it goes for me.

I took classes when I was a kid but wasn’t interested, several years later I was really into classical and jazz and I was able to play by ear but it literally takes me a minute to recognize notes on a sheet, nevermind recall notes. Some of the inside baseball stuff might as well be binary, too. Just incomprehensible.

Family problems, health problems, carreer problems, and just GAD piling up on me. Someone took my pulse and it was running a sprint while I was sitting. Hands were absolutely numb and my fingers were twisting by themselves into weird poses, I couldn’t hear a thing and I couldn’t breathe.

That was the worst one I’ve ever had, and thankfully, the last one. Over a year ago. Every now and then I can feel one coming up but I’ve learned how to calm myself down in therapy.

Hard work does not always lead to success. Most of the time, it just leads to more work.

Goes further than that, imo. Toxic masculinity can also be subtle. It doesn’t need to be a chest-beating guy. Besides trying to hold a death-grip on your emotions, sinking yourself into whatever society holds to be manly, I can’t really think of an example rn, I’ve just woken up.

Maybe it was the botched launch. Baldur’s Gate 3 was an early access title made by a known developer (at least in crpg spaces) of an existing IP, though BG 1 and 2 are old as hell and I imagine most of the player base didn’t play them, myself included.

I played KSP and was waiting for performance to get better before buying KSP 2. Oh well.

Not mine but my grandma’s. We got her some plastic boxes with little containers inside of it, like a calendar but for medicine. Keeping it stocked up is a pretty good way of gauging what she’s running out of. Plus, she knows what to take at what time.

When I was taking meds I’d keep my medicine on my bed table stacked, and I’d keep two contact lens containers on me, one for my morning meds and another for my noon meds. I’d refill both at night. I can’t do bigger containers because it becomes too much of a hassle to refill them for myself.

My group has been looking at TTRPGs for a while now. We used Owlbear Rodeo for one campaign, and started our current one on Roll20 without premium, but… It’s so unintuitive. An honest to goodness UI/UX nightmare. I can see the logic behind some of the choices but it’s so uncomfortable to use. We want something with a bit more functionality (character sheets and dice rolling at least, dynamic fog of war being a personal bonus as a DM).

I work in the industry, and yeah. Before, marketing was based on utility. “Buy this because it can do this and this and that”, basically marketing how effective or what it can actually do for you. Around the 50s (in the US) marketing changed to be based around lifestyle. “Buy this so you can be this”. Now nearly all ads appeal to emotion instead of reason, and it is very effective.

Researching about what a product offers is so much harder than just buying on a whim because the ads and the product are colorful.

You can see this change in old (really old) newspapers. Ad spreads were chock full of text about features. Now 3/4ths of the ads are an image of a happy woman if marketed for gals, or a stoic muscly man if marketed for guys.

VHS player when I was a toddler. Was in the daycare and saw a cord, so naturally I pulled it. It was on top of the TV, which was bolted to the wall high up. Shattered on impact. Nearly fell on my head too.

Not OP, but TTRPGs. Started after I finished BG3, and talked my friends into playing DnD, with me as a DM. Knew literally nothing, and hyperfocused for months learning as much as I could.

I’ve prepared a 70 page document for my players detailing every one of my 6 homebrew classes, 20 subclasses, 15 origins (races don’t make sense in the setting), and some lore about our ASOIAF campaign (I could keep going for hours about all I’ve homebrewed).

We’re all ready and rearing to go and I’m kind of… Already over it. I’m homebrewing vampire bloodlines ala dragonborn lineages and wild magic radiation and mutation systems on the side but those don’t make sense in this setting, and it hurts.

Edit: the worst thing is, I do have people that would be interested in those homebrews, but they’re my players and I don’t want to spoil them!
