Sometimes I am still amazed that street safety managed to become another culture war issue.
That’s what OnePlus, Nothing, and FairPhone are supposed to be about.
It seems that you’re implying they’re not? Could you expand?
After installing an SSD and a couple of hours of clean-up, it was as fast as new. I guess with proper maintenance it can be good enough.
The reason people say Windows is “crap” isn’t the performance, it’s the ads.
You asked how can you live peacefully knowing that your words might be used against you. I don’t believe you can, and I also don’t believe you ever truly could. But I also don’t believe that is a reason to self-censor.
how can i live peacfully knowing that i can be suspected of anything just because i made a joke here or said something there?
You’ve never been able to say things publicly (or, since the internet, publish something that the entire world can read) and expect to be shielded from the consequences. There is always a risk that comes with speaking freely, especially if powerful people perceive your words as a challenge to their power.
The erosion of privacy protections is a reason to despair, but it is also a reason to speak more.
I tried that and accidentally experienced Bij (it worked and now I love all the series).
What?
You just start at Star Trek The Animated Series
If you like new stuff: Star Trek The Animated Series
If you like animation: Star Trek The Animated Series
If you enjoy older series: Star Trek The Animated Series
If you enjoy really old series: Star Trek The Animated Series
Those movies are so forgettable to me, but I do frequently hear that they were a gateway drug for many people so they’re ok with me!
How do we know Leonel didn’t use one to go meet Picard (who is real and in the future)?
I agree, atomic distos have allowed me to make the switch and are better and easier than windows and even macos.
Yeah like I said: “vibes”
They wanted to avoid another entrance/exit on screen to keep us guessing how this Star Trek Inception works.
I understand the reasoning from a suspense perspective but manufactured suspense does not feel suspenseful. Think about it: why show the entire long debate about leaving or not if none of them actually care? The only thing that makes sense is that once they understood the danger was real there was an off-camera conversation with Pike or Una wherein Pike or Una presumably told them that the danger was acceptable and to proceed. But if we accept that the conversation happened off-camera, then the presence of the debate scene doesn’t make sense from a storytelling standpoint.
If we’re getting upset by canonical inconsistencies I have to wonder what bothers you about the Discovery Klingons specifically when I see no mention of the significantly more comprehensive “reimagining” of the TMP (or later the TNG) Klingons? Just seems like an odd place to draw the line.
I thought npr had 10 times fewer listeners
If you want to be depressed, Joe Rogan has 10 times that for single episodes.
fwiw I agree, but it doesn’t appear to be considered mainstream by the guy I was replying to.
Sad that NPR is not considered “mainstream” these days. Maybe Joe Rogan will post something to Facebook about it?
That is correct and echoes what I said
The Remote Watch Pass is only needed if neither you nor the server owner have a Plex pass: https://support.plex.tv/articles/requirements-for-remote-playback-of-personal-media/
When using an affected platform to stream personal video content remotely from a Plex Media Server, then one of the following needs to be true:
- The admin account for the Plex Media Server has an active Plex Pass (which also allows remote playback for any other user streaming from that server)
- Your account has an active Plex Pass
- Your account has an active Remote Watch Pass
The remote playback restrictions do not apply to streaming music content to Plexamp or photos to our Plex Photos app.
I agree with your overall sentiment but also literally 100% of BlueSky users are on one instance.
