I usually write my own, but when I’m in a lazy mood and just want to read I usually just go for AO3. I prefer fandom content because then I get a bit more “connection” with the characters, so it works out perfectly.

Right now I’m focused on becoming a better writer. Specifically, I’m fixating on writing arguments between characters with dialogue that doesn’t sound comically silly. I’ve been noticing improvement as I really unpack arguments in media and write practice short stories, so it’s definitely worth my time!

For males I like natural colors best, for females I like pink best.

The only good 3d-printable figurines I find are all locked behind patreon paywalls and I never have much investment to bother with them

I have two things I consider:

• Height. They can’t be too tall!

I am 5ft/152cm tall.

If I am with someone taller than like, 5.6ft/168cm I will end up looking like a child next to them. They could pick me up like fucking King Kong, it freaks me out. Any form of casual physical intimacy would be obnoxious because I’d have to crane my neck back and stand on my tippies to reach them.

So close to my height or shorter is the ideal!

• Personality.

I think someone kind and thoughtful is best, with a gentle personality. Someone like say, Charles Ingalls (from the little house on the prairie show, not the real man).

I’m married to someone who meets my requirements.

I don’t really know what the way forward is, but I don’t like just having a bunch of big sites everyone congregates on. It’s too metaphorically noisy and I end up not able to find anything I enjoy.

So I hope the future involves federated platforms having enough of a userbase to entertain me without becoming full of everyone. Lemmy’ll need some time to build up the fun userbase, but it’ll get there eventually. maybe faster if sjw would make an instance.

I use wiby and browse gamefaqs a lot, so most of my experience is pretty retro.
