He changed Loops TOS recently to match Pixelfed ones and made them much shorter, so it’s outdated information already, you can check it here
Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I’m a liberal
I don’t post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech

Lmao, might have to do something with this?
Diaspora* only supports diaspora protocol. It has about a few thousands MAU I’d say. If you use it you can interact with Diaspora* users and with Friendica/Hubzilla users from servers that have the diaspora addon. You can see a list of Diaspora* pods here.
Friendica on the other hand natively supports ActivityPub, and has addons for BlueSky, Diaspora* and Tumblr (Not all servers have them enabled). It has 3k MAU, but you can communicate with much wider range of folk. There’s also the Friendica directory, allowing you to find interesting folk to follow much more easily. If you want a stable instance I can recommend https://friendica.world/ , it’s managed by the admins of lemmy.world .
I think the closest thing on the Fedi to what you’re looking for is #Mitra , it’s Fedi software supporting payments and subscriptions, you can check it out. There’s a list of instances on FediDB.
Content subscription service. Subscriptions provide a way to receive monthly payments from subscribers and to publish private content made exclusively for them.
Supported payment methods: Monero, a peer to peer digital cash system where transactions are private by default.
@possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip Pretty cool, but what about Servo? Why not work on it instead?
@kolorafa@lemmy.world Eh, probably still better than siting with dictionary tring to translate word by word, no? Especially if you don’t know the language For some of these languages there was no machine translation before that at all
all of those useless ones
No language is useless, please don’t say that, some are just smaller
@Blaze@reddthat.com On my instance there is 3 active communities, I am not admin in any of them but i think they’re pretty cool
!Firefox@fedia.io - Community dedicated to the firefox browser !FirefoxCSS@fedia.io - Community dedicated to the customization of Firefox !FloatingIsFun@fedia.io - Got very cool CSS and looks pretty and customized, dedicated to art and pics of floating things
@Blaze@lemmy.zip That’s an old news article, from at least 3 months ago
@jaybone@lemmy.world
What does mbin have that Lemmy does not?
IMHO much better integration with the rest of the Fediverse, it supports note type activity (posts without a title, thus supporting most of the Fediverse), it supports adding tags (#hashtags) to threads, it also supports boosting posts and a few more things like that
There will also be PeerTube support soon

@fubarx@lemmy.ml Thanks for sharing, I haven’t listened so it was really interesting!
@Die4Ever@programming.dev
@bobbytables@discuss.tchncs.de
there even is a bridge to Mastodon
To the whole Fediverse, just to it’s microblogging side, and you can’t follow users on Lemmy, so you can’t opt in, but I have this account bridged and it’s running on mbin
@WebWizard@links.hackliberty.org @khorovodoved@lemm.ee
@Usernameblankface@lemmy.world Yep, I wonder who’s the author of it, maybe they can update it
@WebWizard@links.hackliberty.org @cron@feddit.org @originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com
@i_am_not_a_robot@feddit.uk Nice, as a mbin user thank you!
@Defaced@lemmy.world Guilded isn’t open source tho, unlike Revolt or Matrix
@BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world @DarkDarkHouse@lemmy.sdf.org @citrusface@lemmy.world
@threelonmusketeers@sh.itjust.works Both of these instances use mbin, there’s pretty much no instances left on kbin except kbin.social, almost all instances migrated to mbin
@MattWalsh@sh.itjust.works @Glowstick@lemmy.world
fedia.io is the biggest one and the one I’m using, there’s also kbin.run and kbin.earth
Monetization is one of the main problem of PeerTube, it’s more expensive to make videos than to write threads, and while on YouTube/Odysee/Rumble content creators earn money, on peertube they often need to pay to instance operators to pay for hosting
User experience for peertube is not the best too, while in the most of the Fediverse for instance to connect with other instances a user just needs to follow someone on it, on peertube instance owner needs to add instances to the list to federate their content
@MacedWindow@lemmy.world Mbin, it’s a kbin fork
https://fedidb.org/software/mbin
I am pretty sure there’s more software that can do it, I know Friendica can interact with Lemmy communities for example, but it’s more similar to Facebook than Lemmy
@Interstellar_1@lemmy.blahaj.zone
@Interstellar_1@lemmy.blahaj.zone Yes, but I use microblogging site of the Fediverse pretty often, and recognize more names from there
(Software I’m using supports both Lemmy and Mastodon etc so I’m exposed to both)
