People don’t cycle that much overall, due to perception and poor infrastructure, but yeah it’s also skewed by gender. My impression is that the public perception of poor safety is something that most people are exposed to, but weighs more heavily on women.

My interpretation was drugs which are CNS depressants or paralytics. A benzo overdose presumably falls into this category, maybe also opioids. It can’t include alcohol though, because people drinking until paralytic is not an overwhelmingly female phenomenon (I believe it is currently pretty even)

Very few people have swimming pools at home, if that’s what you mean.

Falls into a weird niche for me - if I’m in a situation where text-only history is not good enough, I’ll just use something graphical, rather than some crazy image-in-terminal solution.
Mostly in git I use an alias I wrote/stole ages ago which displays linear history compactly.

FUN!

That would be some context about your thinking that it would have made sense to include in your first comment, given the thread context!
But Yiddish is itself a Germanic language, and modern German dialects like Bavarian do have “Schof” = “Schaf” = “sheep”. Is there a better etymology for Schof here? And Seckl < Säckle < Sack would be perfect for scrotum too, and in high German you can call someone “du Sack” to mean they’re an idiot also.
But they aren’t. They’re the colours corresponding to the peak frequency responses of the cone cells in your retinas.
Primary colours are not made up, they are the approximate peak response frequencies of the cone cells in your retinas.

In the UK we had Guy Fawkes’ night for that, though it has now been somewhat supplanted by the reimported Hallowe’en traditions from the USA.
Of course, the USA was supposed to have Thanksgiving to hold Christmas at bay, and apparently that didn’t work, so good luck.
All the time? Or only some of the time?

That colour scale can get in the bin.

Just the word syntax? Sure. You teach coding at first by example, not from first principles. At some point, explaining the concepts helps in the teaching but not at first.

That sounds like a level of detail it is not necessarily useful to go into with most people. I never experienced anyone non-technical complaining about cloud products, so it would just be proselytising about what to me is a hobby/passion project.
(Not that I’m big into self hosting, but to the extent I am)
The sequel, salt lassie, left a bad taste in my mouth

Put the kids back in the factories I say
That means they’re a monopoly. Having some small fry competitors doesn’t make you not a monopoly.
