Well, for torrenting it doesnt do much, but for IPTV users it sure does…

For us experienced pirates it’s a minor inconvenience, but for a newbie it means that the barrier to entry has been considerabily raised. Try to explain how to torrent (safely) to a 14yo without IT skills, or even to a 40 yo. Its basically a lost cause.

You can still run smaller models on cheaper gpus, no need for the greatest gpu ever. Btw, I use it for other things too, not only LLMs

For llama 70B I’m using an rtx a6000; slightly older but it does the job magnificently with hers 48gb of vram.

Sonixd is a nice client for navidrome.

They can’t block it, as it’s using the standard imessage way. They could change the way iMessage works, but that would break iMessage support on older iOS devices that no longer are supported.
