Well they lost me with their ridiculous price hike for PSN. I won’t be buying any more multiplayer games for my PS5.

TFU1 was a lot of fun for me - I 100%ed it on Xbox and had a blast. I remember spending time learning all the moves and becoming a flowing river of death with the combos. The story was pretty cool at the time, but you have to realize it was only competing with the films at that point, and people were hungry for more Star Wars back then.

TFU2 was fucking garbage and I think I played it for all of 45 minutes before going “Nah”.

How am I feeling? I owned two Xboxes, 3 360s, and two Ones. In the 360 days I was addicted to achievement hunting. Then they made the interface suck with the One and broke that addiction. But it still had some cool games.

Now I have a Series X that I never turn on. So I guess that’s how I’m feeling.

I think you mean spirit vs letter of the law, but yeah, any time you count on cops or courts honoring the ‘spirit of the law’ you’re probably gonna get burned.

Of course with this law nobody is gonna get burned unless they are actually doing laps. Cops don’t have time to be counting how many times you went through a traffic circle in a day, they’ve got people and dogs to kill.

Because most people, including those implementing this shit, have no idea how LLMs work, or their limitations. I see it every day at my job. I have given up trying to patiently explain why they are having issues.

I played through it at least 3 times back in the day to 100% the achievements. Don’t know if I have another run in me. But for anyone who hasn’t played, go for it. It’s a blast and has some unique game mechanics.

That is excellent news and something that I did not know. It certainly isn’t being publicized. Like you I agree that the media is mostly to blame, especially for the part where you mention “my local economy is great but the country’s sucks!”. They have a vested interest in keeping people on edge and hungry for more info, which is terrible and one of the reasons I think we should have a hell of a lot more nonpartisan publicly funded news sources than we do. Not to mention bringing back the Fairness Doctrine.

I don’t think most people feel their buying power has caught up with the greedflation we saw over the last few years. Statistics can be made to say anything.

I am firmly in the upper middle class bracket so I’ve been insulated from it, but I am constantly seeing news about the crunch that the lower economic classes are feeling, and it seems reasonable to me. We are inundated with evidence that younger generations can’t afford housing, can’t afford groceries, etc. The economy may be booming per statistics, but who is it benefiting, people who need the benefit, or no? That’s the real question and I think the dissatisfaction a lot of people feel is a marker that it’s not as simple as what the numbers might show.

Audio on the Amiga was way ahead of its time. I had a device for my A500 that you could plug in an RCA cable and sample audio. I plugged my VCR into it and recorded all the best lines from Aliens and some other movies and shared them with my friends. Game over man, game over!

And I like to fire up my Amiga emulator and play some of my old mods once in a while. They still sound good.
