I thought all thorium based reactor were still at the research stage. I made a quick search to see if there was any in actual use but couldn’t find a source. If you have one please send it I’m really interested.
If they are still at the research stage then I’ll wait until one is built at scale to decide whether they are a better alternative.
Where are the thorium reactor ? We currently have none. Are we allowed to throw speculative energy source in the debate ?
I expect it’s going likely to be used to train some Chinese AI model. The race to AGI is in progress. IMO: “ideas” (code included) should be freely usable by anyone, including the people I might disagree with. But I understand the fear it induces to think that an authoritarian government will get access to AGI before a democratic one. That said I’m not entirely convinced the US is a democratic government…
PS: I’m french, and my gov is soon to be controlled by fascist pigs if it’s not already, so I’m not judging…
Destruction of the final product is also very easy, there are some strong chemicals capable of breaking it down in your own stomach.

How can you know the system has no cognitive capability ? We haven’t solved the problem for our own minds, we have no definition of what consciousness is. For all we know we might be a multimodal LLM ourselves.

CEO, CTO, Sales, Devs, managers, Product owners, QA, data scientist, factory workers… each one is essential and most don’t realise how important the others are.
I had trouble to read it too. I didn’t realise until I read your comment, now I’m wondering wether I like it or not. Thinking about it, it actually illustrate the comics very well: it’s harder to read because it’s not what I’m used too, but it also forces me to read other kind of writings which I guess is good because not everything should be normalised too much.
