This has very little to do with the colonial borders drawn by the British and French almost 100 years ago. Rather it’s animosity due to more recent events. In this case, Israel’s betray of the Iranian people right before the revolution of 1979.

Russia’s new strategy is to take it slow. Hence why they just created two new army for defense in Ukraine. They aren’t looking to risk trying to finish this quickly.
Likely not. Everyone who wanted to leave Russia did so in the 1990’s
Pakistan is propped up by the US and China. They will collapse if they lose that support.
About 30-40% of food is wasted in the US, in India its 22%, in China 27%. These are the largest nations in the world. The reality is that we can build more efficient infrastructures that can drastically cut down on this. But we don’t need to yet, because it’s not cost efficient. That’s how much ‘free’ resources we have produced based on current technologies.
Only bad for nations that are shrinking too fast, like some nordic nations and South Korea. But most other nations will benefit from the less population growth rate.
sonally, I like 6B as a good place to plateau. We’re probably already beyond the planet’s carrying capacity so nee
With the current food growing technologies, we can handle 10 billion comfortable well. We will obviously not reach that number anytime soon. But we are on track to shrinking rapidly in many nations. That will destroy these nations.
Being accused isn’t the same as being found guilty. Especially in the case of real estate, there is always a possibility that what he did to skirt to law and obtain that wealth may not actually be illegal.
That being said I don’t know enough on the laws or what he did, but it’s probably likely why China hasn’t killed him yet. They likely are doing a more drawn out investigation to find out if it’s their own poorly written policies that enable men like this to obtain that wealth and what to do to correct it in the eyes of common Chinese citizens.
Just like North America, when the British sent their religious fanatics to colonize their new colonies.
Accusing the British of being Brutes is like accusing Germans of being Nazi’s. It is rooted in the historic actions of these nations, rather than anything in particular they’ve done today. Sure British tourist have their stereotypes, but honestly they aren’t worse than Chinese tourist, or Muslim migrants. As long as British tourist are still paying customers, many nations will still be happy to host them. Don’t take these comments so seriously, it’s all in good humor.
Brexit on the other hand is a tragedy so awful that you can wonder how a nation once known for it’s ability to govern an empire spanning the entire globe, and innovators of capitalism, made such a stupid decision. Like pointing a gun to your head and pulling the trigger thinking it will cure your headache. It’s so ridiculous I still can’t come up with a proper insult to throw at the Brits concerning their decision to commit economic suicide.
We don’t have a partner for peace? Well then get to work creating partners for peace.
The US has been trying for years with the Saudi’s, Egyptians, etc… to support and encourage a peace treaty between the Palestinians and Israeli. And when the Saudi’s shifted, the Palestinians immediately went to Iran for support. Many other middle eastern countries nearby either hates the US, like Syria, or unable due to a crisis themselves, like Lebanon. So this policy isn’t possible.
First, I challenge the assumption that I have to provide a credible peace plan in order to demand an end to violence.
The reason for this war is because neither Hamas or Israeli wants to back down, and unfortunately thousands of Palestinians are caught in the cross-fire. At this point in the conflict, it doesn’t seem either Hamas or Israeli cares what happens to the civilians of Gaza, they just want to win this war. So unless you offer them a viable solution to peacefully end this conflict, they will not accept a cease fire.
We’re just a paper tiger anymore with a leftover military from a bygone era.
Not entirely true. America is still the most powerful nation-state globally. Although I do think that the era of aircraft carrier fleets is probably obsolete just like the era of battleships was made obsolete right before WW2.
Thank you, i will edit my comment.
Millions of people are at risk of dying of deliberate starvation. Millions are being pushed off their land. The region is being destabilized, Jews and Muslims worldwide are facing increasing antisemitism due to a complex set of reasons, Israelis are facing a rapid erosion in civil liberties… and we need to say NO. We need to interrupt all of these.
Indeed. I agree globally the world need to find a way to end this impending genocide of the Palestinian people.
We need to demand peace, we need to force from power leaders who pursue agendas designed to escalate conflicts because its in their interests, we need to halt the logistics operations that allow for people to be caged and starved and blown up and tortured…
The problem is for us to demand peace, we need to have a solution that most people would agree with, including the majority of Israel and Palestinians. What would that solution be at this point in the conflict?
Coder isn’t a professional title. Software engineer and engineer are very broad of a term, because they can cover alot of work that’s not directly coding software. Not all programmers write software code, some just ‘program’ software that’s already written.
So i think developer is the best term for someone that ‘develops’ and write software code for a living. Or even software developer, those terms are interchangable.
They make sense, as they were good enough to stop imperial empires from ravaging the world. But their limits are a governing forces are seen today.
I do think the age of nation-states are ending soon, and the rise of a new type of state may happen soon. Maybe something like a culture-state?
Considering the behavior of British tourist globally today, or even the history of their empire, the two words may as well have the same meaning.
Bernie is the only US politician that actually fights for the common man. And the only reason I think he’s still a politician is because he’s got the support of enough people behind him that America’s oligarchy can’t stop him from at least holding some official positions of power and decision making. But I don’t ever see him being president of this nation, and at his age, it’s likely too late now.
Israel isn’t at war in the West Bank. They are at war with Hamas, in Gaza. So ‘full annexation’ is not possible in this current war. Although I do think there is the possibility of Israel expelling Palestinians in Gaza and taking the entire territory for themselves.
Common tactic car manufacturers also use in the US to get around tariffs and taxes.
The Federal government should do this in the US.
India has always been difficult for western corporations to do business there. However, western corporations are also notorious for exploiting every rule and regulation they are able to for profit, with complete disregard to the consequence for the rest of society.
The economy of India has drastically change with their current government and is more encouraging to bring foreign corporations to start companies in India, I curious on the outcome of this conflict. I suspect Volkswagen might have a partial win in Indian courts, where they only have to pay some additional taxes, but not the full amount ask by the Indian government.
