I posit that Bloom County was a Boomer comic and it was pretty much always funny.
It’s because it’s taking the piss out of them.

I don’t get it
He’s asking his wife if she would play games with someone who cheats all the time and she says no. He then admits to his wife that he cheats and that’s why his friend doesn’t want to play with him.
The joke being that you were mislead into thinking the friend was cheating.
