I just meant the likeness wasn’t good enough. But since then I’ve realized she’s not a household name everywhere. Silly me.

The likeness is great, it’s just a lot of people (me squarely included) don’t keep up with the Joneses, there’s no interest in knowing the artist behind the role.
For sure, I had hoped it would help draw people who knew her to look up what she’s been doing lately because I think it matters. Very few things of what a celebrity does outside of entertain us matters, this time I felt it was different.
And it’s working, we’re here talking about her and looking her up. What I’m saying is that I recognized her face immediately, so your painting did a good job portraying her. I just didn’t know what to search for.

I know who she is, and you’ve done very well painting her likeness. I think maybe she just isn’t universally well known, especially if you aren’t into movies.

Why did you stop posting on pixelfed?
I gave up on PixelFed. I had a hard time finding content that wasn’t also here or Mastodon. And I struggled to find an art community there that wasn’t people here or on Mastodon.
