I need to figure out how the proportions will work on the banner. Right now it looks like it’s being compressed 2-3x on the vertical axis. (or is it simply cropped?) I’m already pretty sure that the whole thing needs to be under 100k in size, but the dimensions are surprisingly permissive. (the current banner is about 1000x1000!)

Independent of that, I have an idea of taking a bunch of panels showcasing various characters, then cutting them in to thin vertical strips, then using GIMP to reassemble them in to a whole image that makes sense. That may or may not be too ambitious for my skills, but we’ll see…

Meanwhile, if you happen to have any favorite BD art that you think might work for such a project, feel free to link / paste. ^^

EDIT: Okay, interesting. From the default ‘community-view,’ ~40% of the vertical banner area is displayed, taken from the middle. In ‘thread-view,’ the full banner displays shrunken-down at the top of the sidebar.

EDIT2: The auto-cropped banner size seems to be built on dimensions of 647x264, which I presume scales with a user’s screen resolution (uh, hopefully). I’ve therefore built a new banner based on those dimensions.
