I voted for Harris, and encouraged everyone around me to vote for her too, but I’m tired of the whole “reaching across the aisle” approach when the other side of the aisle very publicly doesn’t seem interested in working together.

It’s also incredibly ironic that you haughtily preached civility and not “screaming” at people who disagree with you and then immediately resorted to insults and blame in response to a meme.

Definitely, but I’m not the one insisting “we just need to talk it out and then everything will be perfect”.

What is the alternative? Tens of millions of people are voting for nazis because of propaganda

I dont think constantly insulting them makes them stop voting for nazis

You apparently don’t. Not in America. That’s the problem.

(Unless you believe a very obviously not stolen election was stolen. Then I guess it’s collective action time.)

If people got convinced to vote for a nazi, couldnt they be convinced the other way?

Also, this is a global problem, not just in the USA

It’s not likely. MAGA republicans are so entrenched in their beliefs that it’s incredibly difficult, especially since half of what they’re peddling is religiously motivated.

You have to somehow get past those two very thick layers of brainwashing to get anywhere. They think giving in is an attack on both their religion and their children (“they’re gonna trans our kids!” or whatever).

I’m not saying insulting people will convince them of anything, but I don’t think trying to talk it out works either. I don’t know the solution.
