The Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a nationwide settlement with OxyContin maker Purdue Pharma that would shield members of the Sackler family who own the company from civil lawsuits over the toll of opioids.

Honestly, this comes as a surprise to me. This Court is normally very friendly to big businesses and business interests. It could be a reaction to public outrage at the exposed corruption among prominent conservative jurists.
