There’s been a lot made of hip-hop not looking after its elders, but the reality is that those older artists were selling out venues and touring, they just failed to find traction in terms of mainstream relevance. The likes of Nas and Jay-Z prove that if you can make relevant good music, the world will be forced to pay attention.
It’s not even a come back. Nas has still been releasing very good music. But this KD and Magic run has been beyond anything I can imagine. It’s not a comeback, it’s a reform
How about a comeback from Kanye copy/pasting his verses over some beats for that Nasir album?
Nasir was still solid though. It’s weak compared to rest of Nas but it’s still a good album on its own.
