The guy you’re responding to is the kind of person that gives AI a bad rep. They insult anyone who critiques it and are just so damn defensive. The whole calling people “Luddites” is particularly annoying, and I have no doubt he’s dropped that term.
For a lot of us, it just feels like crypto bros all over again. It’s borderline religious zealotry for some of these guys. They’re basically AI evangelists. The only difference is that AI is actually useful, so at least it has that going for it.
