Hi Boost gang,
The first version of Boost for Lemmy is almost ready. If you want to test the app for bugs and give feedback before the app is published, follow this link https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.rubenmayayo.lemmy to enable an early access option on the Boost for Lemmy Play Store listing.
Thanks for your patience!
Thank you for developing this app! Being able to use Boost again has felt like being right at home. Your UI/UX design is just amazing, and I’ve sorely missed it since Reddit’s whole thing happened.
Heyyyy! I dunno when the app installed, but I just noticed it in my app drawer. So glad I registered for the download.
Thanks for putting in the effort to move over to Lemmy. I greatly appreciate it and immediately slammed the no ads purchase. When I can ill toss a few bucks to fuel up that rocket ship.
Love you dude <3

When someone replies to your comments, you get a notification. But clicking the notification takes you to the ‘mentions’ tab, instead of the ‘replies’ tab
Fixed for the next version. Thanks!
🎉🚀
Now that’s a seamless switch between platforms!
Ad-free already purchased!
One feature that’d be nice to have is the ability to add other instances as guest accounts.
I’ve never used Boost before and it’s auto downloaded today. I’m so happy to try it. Looks great so far.
Just autodownloaded and so glad to be back to a familiar interface
When I tap on a linked community, it opens in webview/browser rather than within the app
Babe wake up, Boost for Lemmy just dropped

Hi! When I try to add a second account (in fact this account that I am posting from now), I always get an “incorrect login” error. I have triple checked that the login information is correct – also I can log into this account on other lemmy apps and on desktop. If it helps, the first account I have logged into using Boost is on a different instance than the second account.
Anyway, I want to also say thank you, Ruben! I loved Boost for Reddit and I am loving Boost for Lemmy!
Also just had this issue, with account on a different instance
Opening links in Boost for Lemmy does not seem to work. Instead of opening them properly, any links are opened in the Boost in app browser.
However thanks for a fantastic app! I’ve been using Boost for Reddit for years, and you’re much of the reason I am here on Lemmy now
Yeah, opening links a bit tricky. I have to work on it.

Thanks @rmayayo@lemmy.world (testing how I can mention at users in Lemmy lol). Loved the app before, and this reincarnation is why I’m even in Lemmy right now in the first place. Already bought ad-free and also put some extra fuel in the rocket! 🚀
Edit: testing mention again, since I didn’t see it become a link in my comment: @rmayayo
for some reason it doesn’t become a link like the !imaginarytrains@lemm.ee syntax does (although it does in most apps), but it does notify the recipient (the first syntax, including both @'s)
Is there a setting to show seperate upvote/downvote counts? I’d prefer that over the “net” score which reminds me of r*ddit.
Hey all, I may be missing something obvious, but is it possible to add an account for an instance not in the pre-made list?
I would love to know this too.
Edit: yes, you can. Just type in the URL yourself in the instance box. No need to select from the list.
Maybe I’m doing it wrong, I typed the full URL and it just told me it failed. Hmm…
When you say full url do you mean like the www and https tags at the start? Or just something like startrek.website
I’ve tried all variations I could think of, http://, https://, just www., and with nothing at all.
I either get an unknown error has occurred message (www.) or login failed (everything else).
Works great. It really feels like I’m using Boost for Reddit. Thank you mate, ad-free version purchased :)
My experience with the app has been amazing so far. It actually works far better than the official lemmy.world website
