There was a reference I saw to this somewhere else wehre there were people in nursing homes who had gone transgender and had developed alzheimers or dementia, and they forgot that they had transitioned.
These people have genuine mental illness but the (((media))) has convinced everyone that we need to support their delusions instead of actually helping them.
