In general, mine work fine. Sometimes Linux won’t switch between my CPU and GPU for graphical rendering when I start a game. Seems to be sporadic and changes whenever I update Linux. In general, I just force the GPU to render all graphics as a workaround, but that wouldn’t do well for the battery on a laptop. I also think it’s something my distro doesn’t handle well, but others do better.
Linux update is more like… “uh oh, please don’t break anything, I just got my graphics drivers working last week.”
This take is based on a true story.
I recall the same, also I think the disc worked for the whole family.
I have a vague memory of spending $30 for an upgrade to MacOS more than a decade ago. Then Apple stopped charging for them. So, this comic is pretty off base, but people love to bitch, so what can you do.
Ireland does love their corporations. Basically a tax haven.
I agree that they should. The govt is more cautious in handling crowds open carrying guns. However, most on the left are not gun owners.
Checked it out. I don’t think they will ever provide API support given how much they want to tie AI into things. The app feels clunky to me and the user base is high on Kevin Rose and Digg nostalgia. Also, they keep very tight controls on which communities can be created, so that limits the degree to which it can be community-driven.
And they’ll charge you 25% + 4% tip for the privilege of bussing your own table.
Glad someone paid a bunch of worthless McKinsey consultants what I could’ve told you myself
How old are you and when was the last time you looked for a job?
It was like 7 years ago with all the JavaScript frameworks flooding in around Node.js

You don’t take on someone like Trump and then mess it up. Guy should be in prison, not president.

Most of last year’s Steam games went undiscovered and unplayed by the majority of users. But a surprising number were received quite well. Of the 1,431 games released last year that garnered more than 500 reviews — an indication that they were played by at least a few thousand people — more than 260 were rated positively by 90% or more of the players. More than 800 scored 80% or better. In other words, this isn’t like the 1980s, when the US gaming market crashed due to a flood of poorly made products. Today, there are too many video games, and many of them are great. Today’s titles are also competing not just with the new games released every year but with countless old “service” games designed to keep people playing forever. The three most-played games on Steam are almost always Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds, all multiplayer games that have been around for years. Some of the other biggest games in the world, such as League of Legends and the top titles on Roblox, would be alongside them if they were on Steam.
