You gotta do it to em

Damn, anyone catering to right wing has it really easy when it comes to PR these days
This is a suitable method of deriving, since the final answer for the derivative isn’t wrong

Patroling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
(Someone had to say it)

I really want this mindset to be everywhere, not just on Lemmy. I wish everyone had the support mechanisms that people need to survive.
An issue in some situations is a small number of people abuse the fuck out of the support mechanisms available. This leads people to agree with “we shouldn’t provide it if it’s going to be abused”. Which they’re obviously incorrect in stating.
I’ve never seen Star Trek, but if applied to reality it should be “The needs of the many outweigh the desires of the few”

No problem buddy!
You having read my comment and benefited from it means that me writing it wasn’t time wasted :)

Hey, as long as writing that comment helped you vent then it wasn’t time wasted
Don’t try and just group history together and tell me “tHeRe hAS bEEn cOnFLicT tHeRe bEfoRe iSrAeL”.
The crusades are one thing.
The formation of states by deciding their borders, deciding that one of these states is now intended to now house an entire ethnicity, and having that new state be a western military power that is now completely unrestricted is another thing entirely.
Damn, thank you for providing your knowledge to rub it in!
Mid nighties here and I feel the same way.
I think the reason I feel people had it better off back in those times could be related to the lack of a constant internet connection.
Before the internet, a lot of us couldn’t see how terrible things actually were on a global level. It’s also possible things have always been this way and just weren’t talked about by the general public UNTIL the internet (i.e. Palestine).
I could be completely wrong and just correlating things with me growing up and seeing how awful things actually are.

The same thing applies for Gavin Newsom. The man plays leapfrog across the whole political spectrum depending on what he thinks will keep him in power. No one whose main objective is maintaining their power deserves to be trusted.
I do the same except for when I wake up. At that time I go top of 12 hrs, mainly to help keep me up-to-date on what happened in other time zones (usually the US lol) when I was asleep
You can develop a tolerance to lactose by eating specific foods?? Neat!

In some countries outside the US, that would be enough for a person to be absolutely filthy rich.
That is how insanely overpriced some things are in the US, and it wasn’t because of tariffs. It was corporations wanting as much profit as possible.

That Mario Kart simile may be accurate, but it also got my emotions going in all sorts of directions.

Comparison is the thief of joy my dude! It’s best to let people be creative and have similar concepts without calling their work knockoffs
Nah, you’re confusing them with the highest ranking navy position
Ah okay: Infinity is a concept, but is NOT a measurable quantity or unit and thus is not a number
I like your posts on the games you’re playing Atticus. And you’re 100% right, people have become much more willing to show how shitty they are. I think they’re more willing because they see how people can still succeed while openly being shitty people, so they no longer assume that being inhuman impedes their personal success.
The only positive I can think of is that it least this makes shitty people easier to point out. It doesn’t make them easier to avoid because we’re unfortunately all bound to cross paths with them.
