Idk, I feel like the iran leader and trump are on the same scale, IQ wise …
Noooo do not make my AK-47 gay >:((
Dunno, I’m not hiding from anything, but I’m not responsible for the acts people have committed years, decades or even centuries before I was even born. The entire concept of inherited guilt is stupid beyond imagination.
You don’t live in a village.
The 350 people in the austrian village I live in 80% of the time would disagree.
You’re “local” farmer is easily both that white and that black farmer
No. It’s a white farmer. I meet him like 5 times a week.
you’re damn right the focus should and will remain with the latter.
Sad tbh, but you do you. I will continue to support my local community, because strong communities strive together, regardless of arbitrary properties that they can’t influence.
Not sure why you bring up America
Idk you kinda sounded like the classic leftist american that flagellates himself the entire day over the history of a country during a time he didn’t even exist lmao.
if output is equal, maybe it’s time to spread the love to these black and queer farmers
Okay but why? What’s the point exactly? Why discriminate against white farmers purely based on the color of their skin? Especially in the farming industry, both are doing an insanely tough job and they need people to buy their products. I think it’s wrong to not buy from a local farmer because he’s white and instead go to a black farmer that’s 30 minutes away, for example.
If I’m living in a village and we have a white farmer, I buy there. If it’s a black farmer, I buy there. And hell, I might buy from both if they have different products. Win-Win Situation.
This focus on skin color in literally every aspect of life is just getting really annoying.
Nothing to self-reflect on since you and your american mindset are hellbent on seeing a race issue here. No reason to try and talk you out of it.
Why not go to sleep? Then wake up later and get in touch and involved.
Because that would require more effort than posting a comment online.
The problem is that it’s a fundamentally good idea to support your local farmers and businesses, but you’re artificially injecting the race card yet again instead of just ignoring the skin color for once. It’s someone who sells you carrots and potatoes, why care about the race? Why support especially a black farmer? There’s no reason for it tbh - support your local business.
the only answer to me is deep seated, potentially non intentional racism.
Must be tough to try your hardest to see racism everywhere you go.
The truth of long historic events would never be accurately portrayed as it would contain almost exclusively rape and slave exploitation
I know that american history isn’t that long so there’s a lot of that in it, but I can assure you that there are a lot of historic events in the history of other countries that are more than that.
already portrays history as complete fiction so why not make it entertaining to more
That’s not what happens - games and movies are claiming to be “as historically accurate as possible” just to have blatant mistakes all over it for the sake of diversity.
buying specifically from black people is problematic, why?
The problem isn’t that buying from black people is a problem, the problem is that it’s trying to be a selling argument, and that’s just stupid. Are the vegetables of a black farmer better than of a white farmer? Do queer farmers make better cheese than straight farmers? I somehow doubt it. In the end, it’s a matter of skill and you can have that regardless of your sexuality or skin color.
I’m seriously wondering how you ever expect something like “inclusion” to happen when you’re the ones that keep treating the groups you’re trying to include differently.
That’s a stupid take tbh. Nobody is against those things. What people have a problem with is the side effects. Very obvious to see in the entertainment sector where entire historic events and facts are ignored for the sake of DEI. Saw that with the cleopatra movie and is currently a big problem with assassins creed shadows which is literally insulting large parts of japanese culture just so they can put their western morals into it.
It’s a bit sad that it’s just the “black farmers”. If possible, getting your stuff from a local market or even a farmer is always a good thing, no matter if it’s a black or white farmer. I have that here in austria where I get most of my meat and cheese directly from the farmer and it’s not just insanely tasty but also cheaper than from the grocery store.
Strong communities thrive together.
Wait we have AI-powered drones?
“How many eggs you’re eating per week?”
“I’m vegan.”
Bruh I can’t.
And yet consoles still have physical game copies available all these years later. Why is PC so much different?
It isn’t. You can still buy physical copies of PC games, mostly AAA tho, but nobody does it anymore. Also, there are consoles that are delivered without a cd drive, so they are digital only.
And I’m not saying to be happy that Epic is competition, I’m saying that if GOG dies, you’ll only really have Steam and Epic
To be fair, steam is my platform of choice now anyways because of their awesome linux support.
I 100% believe Valve will go full on enshitification mode. I wouldn’t have to worry as much if I could still buy physical fucking copies of modern PC games
Certainly a worry, however, in case they do become shitty, I’ll just download a bunch of cracks for my games and leave the platform.
Steam didn’t start off where they’re at now, they’ve had 20 years with an entire company dedicated to developing it.
I don’t care tho?
Seriously, this is the worst argument to me. Why should I as a consumer care about that? If someone sells a flip phone now, you’re not going to say: “Oh man samsung had such a big headstart obviously their phones are better”. If a company enters a new space, they have to compete on the same level, not on the level of 20 years ago.
Fuck Epic for buying exclusive rights for third party games, but in this specific context, it is their game, so it is what it is
Ye agree, it is their game rn so they can do that. But a majority of games weren’t.
Why is no one mad at them?
People are mad at them. However, Epic is the one enabling this shitty behavior so they are the ones getting most of the hate.
they have had like a 10+ year headstart on cornering the PC marketplace
So Epic had like 10 years of learning from steam and doing it better, offering a competitive platform and experience. However, they didn’t do that because that actually takes time, money and effort so they just artificially tried to limit the amount of titles for sale on steam, which is basically trying to strongarm consumers into using their platform. Which is quite the same practice you see from any big players in any industry, from apple to john deere - and all are getting hate for it.
you’ll be glad there’s still some competition left
Competition like the EGS? No, I’m definitely not happy about that.
Steam is a huge reason why PC games went fully digital almost two decades ago
Not really. Games would’ve gone digital either way, it was the obvious path to go. Steam might’ve sped up that process by a few years, but pretending that without steam, digitalization of the games industry would’ve never happened is naive at best and dishonest at worst.
Not really comparable IMO. Epic has paid devs/publishers in the past for not releasing on steam. Gearbox, Ubisoft etc
Nobody is mad that fortnite isn’t on steam.
are users willing to put up with that.
No. People are used to stuff being free.
Idk what you mean, I’ve said nothing the likes ever lmaoo.
